My cpa made a mistake on my taxes what o do I do?

Ok so my boyfriend is getting a divorce and I explain he needs to file married filling separate but the cpa put single. The papers went through but not final and he moved out and he is supposed to get the return the next day so what can he do?

Amend the return using form 1040X and next time, find a tax pro with tax knowledge.
