old phone directories for genealogy?

can I search old phone directories? It would be for in the 60′s in the sussex area in the uk and for research on my family tree. Thank you

In the USA, the special collections rooms in county libraries have them. You folks aren’t that different from us, save that you drive on the wrong side of the road and speak with an accent. Ask the library if they have them. They won’t be on-line.
