I have tried to locate some explanation for the search term “got South,” but I have unexpectedly come up empty. I anticipated at least one clear reference…but no.

Well, there was one reference — it was the title of a YouTube video. However, no explanation accompanied the video, which was just a series of still photos, all probably centring around a specific girl. And throughout, a U2 song was played: The Sweetest Thing.

So I suppose I must admit failure.
