WItch laser should I buy?
A red laser will only show a defined dot on your target. A green laser with define a beam to the target and is more distracting if you are using it for presentation work. If people are focused on your presentation with interest, the red should be adequate. Most are rated at 20 – 50 mW.
The ones listed on your links do not have any ratings. I would advise buying locally for this item so that you know you can source the batteries and service if needed (I ordered an item that stated it used a single AA battery that turned out to be an N battery).
The distance is directly related to the amount of power input to the laser diode. I have a class IIb star pointer (green) at 100 mW that is more than adequate to point the way.
I have a source of some really technical information if you have interest. Just send me a note.

My intention is to try and offer a little something of interest for everyone who may drop by -- in fact, no one should be able to arrive on this website and find nothing whatsoever that catches their notice. And should anyone feel like posting a comment -- why, all the better!
