Is investing in index funds a smart choice or should I include other mutual funds families?

I am new to investing, and I wanted to know if I should only invest in index funds or add more to my portfolio.

Indexing is always a good option.

I have an index sp 500 fund and a total stock market index fund in my portfolio.

Also have some Europe/overseas funds, a blended fund with some bonds, some sector funds like in science and tech and healthcare and one lifestyle fund designed for people who are planning on retirement around 2030 (the fund gets more conservative the closer the target date gets)
