I got arrested for possession of heroine. What are some possible outcomes that I should expect at court?

I do have an experienced lawyer and he did tell me that I have three options. First option, I use the first offense/offender. Second option, I have a pre trial diversion. Last option, I could get the charge lowered if all else fails. He said getting the heroine possession charge would be difficult to drop but not impossible. The only thing is, I would have an arrest record. Also, he did say that he could motion for incorrect search by the cops because they did threaten to bring in the K9s so they can search my friend’s car. If it helps, I do have a clean record. However i have been arrested for minor in possession of alcohol, but the same lawyer who is helping me now got the case dropped through a pre trial diversion. Does anyone have any experience with what I am going through? Is there a light at the end of my tunnel?

Laws are relative to each state, county etc. Some places are stricter than others… depends on many factors.

But this doesn’t really matter… you keep using dope, and you’ll be constantly in and out of jail/prison anyhow. That is, if you don’t OD first.

There is only light at the end of your tunnel if you quit now. Stop talking/hanging out with other users… find other stuff to do in your free time, seek counseling etc. If not, you’re doing nothing but flushing your life down the toilet… (I’ve seen it happen multiple people)
