What the heck is an owl pellet?

We dissect the school tomorrow and my teacher said he will not tell us what they are, he want to be a surprise, I guess I do not know.

In nature, nice to see (especially if the owls are part of a wild reintrodution the project) because it shows how much and what the owl ate. So nice to look for blood in or on the nerve, as it could mean internal injuries in the owl. the balls are ideal for science programs at the school as well.
