Pre algebra???????????????

What is in pre algebra? Is it hard? I skipped 2 math grades and would like some pre tips.

I Imagine it is not too hard, but it will be probably different then anything you have ever seen. At the end of the day, if you work hard you probably will do great. It also will lay the foundation for other math courses and career paths. The best person to ask would be a middle school math teacher who teaches this subject. They would be able to give you some accurate examples and expectations you could have. I would assume you will explore some basic algebra equations where you are solving for unknowns. You will also probably be taught to think of equations in terms of algebra and graphically.

A question might be 5x + 3 = 13, solve for x.
or Graph the function y=5x+3
or find an equation that is perpendicular to the function y=5x + 3.
These of course are my best estimates of what you might see in pre-algebra. I am not a teacher, just a student =). Good luck in your class
