Red light?
I have to go to court for running a red light (at 5 am which turned while I was under it) – I paid the fine, but still have to go to court in NJ – does anyone know the specific law as to why? Thank you.
Don’t have the ordinance number, but the law reads that it is illegal to enter an intersection without sufficient room to clear the intersection before the traffic signal turns red. This is done to prevent people from speeding into an intersection in an attempt to beat it, while another driver (or pedestrian) from a cross direction tries to get a jump on their light turning green. It is also to prevent traffic tie ups by cars in the intersection when the lights change and cross traffic now cannot go.

My intention is to try and offer a little something of interest for everyone who may drop by -- in fact, no one should be able to arrive on this website and find nothing whatsoever that catches their notice. And should anyone feel like posting a comment -- why, all the better!
