Why don’t typical gemstone qualities work with me?

I am a Cancer, Pisces rising, with the majority of my planets in Air signs (except Jupiter in Scorpio). I am attracted to the darker gems and stones, Garnet, Onyx, dark blue Sapphire, etc. Other gems that are said to give off certain “vibrations” or have tangible effects, do not work the way they are supposed to. Hematite is uncomfortable for me to touch, as well as Citrine, light Amethyst, Rose Quartz, etc. I have a good vibration with Rutilated Quartz, but that is about the lightest-colored gem/stone that I feel comfortable with and does what it’s supposed to do. Why do gemstones and their qualities not vibrate (or whatever) the way they’re supposed to with me? I’m not attracted to the typical stones Cancers and Air signs are supposed to. Thanks in advance.
If I had found the answers I needed from generic gemstone/astrology sites, I wouldn’t have bothered asking the question on an open forum. I’m into advanced gemology and intermediate astrology.

Crystals vibrate at certain frequency and folks in the music industry have used that scientific bit for years. Many of the old radios were quartz crystal radios Yet when we try to name those vibrations people get a bit excited. I am sure that one day we will put a science to it and we will all feel better

The short answer is that gems vibrate at a particular frequency and so do we. So much like music, if two notes fit together you have music. If they don’t fit together you have noise. The birthstones have not had very much corrolation in my experience. I am a pisces and aquamarine does nothing for me.

I have a very hard time with Hematite and have been known to crack them in bracelets and such things. Lots of people I know have issues with that one. It is magnetic and a bit dodgy sometimes.

Move to what feels good to you and then figure out what that is in relation to where you are personally. Just like a prism can be used to filter and focus light, they can be used to focus and filter energy.
